Job Purpose:

Responsible for managing the procurement and delivery of goods and services to ensure the on-going operations at LEMT.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Managing existing and potential suppliers

2. Reviewing on-going performance of suppliers and creating action plans to ensure optimum inventory for better cash flow.

3. Placing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of parts thus avoiding production stoppages and leading to higher OTIF (On-time in full) .

4. Measuring suppliers efficiency and preparation of status reports for weekly parts review.

5. Identify risks within the supply chain process and create mitigation plans to reduce these risks.

Secondary Activities or Tasks

1. To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required to enhance the efficiency, quality and service provided by the Supply chain department.

2. To undertake business travel as and when required

Experience Knowledge Skills

Functional Competencies

Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of ERP systems

Good knowledge of Excel

A good understanding of the wider business environment (sales, marketing, operations and customer services)

Desirable

Knowledge of Fabrication and Surface treatment process.

Strong background in Supply chain parameters such as OTIF calculation, Inventory stock maintenance

Behavioral competencies

Good communication and presentation skills.

Problem solving and judgement

Resilience and flexibility

Other Requirements

Diploma or B.E./ B. Tech with minimum 3 years of experience in Supply chain
