Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead, assess, support/design, implement, and deploy initiatives that support store and field teams with driving business results.This role will accomplish this through the design, development, and implementation of reporting, automated processes, and applications.This includes providing oversight of the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise technology solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications. This individual also provides insight and recommendations to inform the roadmap and overall health and care of business portfolio solutions.
To be successful, the individual in this role must bring combination of business and technical acumen and be able to provide solutions that balance the unique needs of both the business and Technology.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
Leads the development and implementation of store improvement tools and processes, with limited guidance from the Store Operations Manager.
Assesses and enhances associate facing technology to improve productivity and efficiency.
Coordinates and manages timely execution of projects, for full project lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
Analyzes post-project feedback to provide continuous improvement solutions.
Provides business analysis and develop ETL code and scripting to meet all technical specifications and business requirements according to the established designs.
Develops efficient, consistent, and reliable data solutions leveraging technologies such as SQL, Python, GCP, and Hadoop Platform.
Provides technical support and troubleshooting for data processes and solutions.
Ensures data governance policies are followed by implementing or validating data lineage, quality checks, and data classification.
Years of Experience:
Overall 6+ years of Experience
4+ years of experience in data development technologies
4+ years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of SDLC
2+ years of experience leading project or technical teams with or without formal direct report responsibility; this includes experience providing technical direction, thought leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members
Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Operations, Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field
Skill Set Required
Primary Skills (must have)
Experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycles (SDLC)
Experience in data analytics / data engineering in retail industry
Advanced skill level in Microsoft SQL Server or other relational SQL technology
Experience in ERD design and presentation
Experience in developing ETL codes and scripting to meet all technical specifications
Experience in Data mining technologies such as SQL, Python, GCP, and Hadoop Platform
Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally
Demonstrated ability to bring thought leadership on an everyday basis
Exceptional skills in building analytical models, proficient in mathematical and Statistical analysis
Prior experience leading project or technical teams; including experience providing technical direction and thought leadership
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents for presentation to management
