The principal purpose of the Associate Director, Pricing Promotions & Credit (PP&C) is to deliver best-in-class (1) pricing and promotions process execution (2) build capabilities to drive efficiencies and inform fact-based decision making (3) influence strategic direction of pricing, promotions, and credit functions (4) leverage analytics to drive actionable insight generation translating into favorable financial outcomes. The Associate Director will lead and develop a team of high performing individuals by providing direction that is aligned with enterprise initiatives, prioritizing, and delivering to strategic objectives, and empowering and engaging the team to continuously improve and innovate. This individual will be responsible for staying current on industry trends and assessing viability of options for the Pricing, Promotions, Credit organization. This role is accountable for working closely and collaborating with peers and functional leaders across Finance, Merchandising, and Technology in the US and Bangalore to provide deep analytic and functional knowledge and expertise to support business requests across the Pricing, Promotions and Credit team and be able to connect the dots and assess implications across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: Lead delivery of run-the-business execution of operational activities Partner with stakeholders to influence, develop, and implement global pricing and promotions strategy Develop decision tools and capabilities to drive insights that lead to margin optimization Monitor & measure performance of pricing and promotions actions Analyze business problems to identify alternative courses of action through reporting and analysis Develops and maintains relationships to influence strategic and business decisions Leads and develops a high performing team to ensure best practices are implemented and followed, plays an active role in providing thought leadership to improve outcomes Communicates, engages, and trains partners to ensure appropriate insights and industry trends and approaches are understood Proactively identifies risks/opportunities in the business by analyzing trends and forming hypothesis Partners with the Technology to influence technology roadmap and drive business readiness towards technology changes Collaborate at a global level to drive conversations around capabilities that can be stood up in an offshore model Critical Role Attributes: Business / Financial Acumen Influencing Hands-on Leadership Critical Thinking / Problem Solving Communication Keeping on Point Relationship Management Bias to Action Thought Leadership Think Strategically Developing High Performing team Required Qualifications: Bachelors/Master s degree in Business, Finance, or related Quantitative fields 15+ years of prior experience in a business operations or analytical role, preferably 8+ years in Retail 7+ years of leadership experience with direct report responsibility and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams 5+ years of demonstrated experience working closely with senior leadership in an offshore model Retail experience in the Pricing & Promotions domain and knowledge of industry best practices and advancements Ability to leverage data and insights to drive informed decision making Proven track record of building and scaling teams / functions in a GCC model Demonstrated ability to work independently in a demanding environment and manage multiple competing priorities/projects Experience with statistical modeling and business analytics and ability to work with Python, Teradata, PowerBI, and GCP Lowe s is an equal opportunity employer and administers all personnel practices without regard to race, color, religious creed, sex, gender, age, national origin, mental or physical disability or medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other category protected under state or local law.
