Lead Analyst, Finance Analytics
Were hiring a Lead Analyst with expertise in Data Science and Advanced Analytics for our Finance Analytics team at Lowes. You will drive the development and implementation of advanced analytical solutions for FP&A functions and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders in India and the US to leverage data-driven insights, solve complex challenges, and propel business growth. Responsibilities Include
Designing, developing, and delivering advanced analytics/machine learning (ML) solutions, providing insightful presentations and in-depth analyses for senior leadership teams.
Mentoring and upskilling junior team members and peers, fostering their analytical and ML proficiency.
Constructing sophisticated ML models and analytical tools to support data-driven decision-making.
Designing and developing proof of concepts (POCs) to showcase the potential and value of advanced analytics within the finance domain.
Leveraging your expertise in data science and advanced analytics to create innovative and impactful solutions that address complex business problems.
Collaborating with internal and external partners to identify and evaluate new tools, techniques, and data sources to further strengthen our analytics capabilities.
Taking a proactive approach in identifying areas where advanced analytics can provide value and initiating projects to develop and implement new analytics solutions.
Education, Experience and Skills
A bachelors or masters degree in a relevant field such as data science, statistics, mathematics, finance, or a related discipline is preferred. Advanced certifications in analytics or data science are a plus.
Experience (typically 7+ years) working in an advanced analytics role, preferably in a retail finance or related domain
Extensive hands-on experience applying machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, classification, clustering, and anomaly detection, to solve complex business problems.
Expertise in feature engineering, model selection, hyper parameter tuning, and model evaluation to optimize model performance and ensure robustness.
Knowledge of time series analysis and forecasting techniques to predict future trends and patterns in financial data.
Demonstrated expertise in leveraging advanced analytics tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, and big data technologies and frameworks like Hadoop, and Spark.
Leadership experience, guiding and mentoring junior team members, fostering their growth in POC development and analytics capabilities.
Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in data science, advanced analytics, and machine learning.
