Business Development Executive - Transport

Role & responsibilities

• Identify and target potential clients who require transportation and logistics services.
• Plan and achieve the revenue budgets as per agreed timelines
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers.
• Generate leads, schedule meetings, and close deals with businesses requiring freight, trucking, and logistics solutions.
• Understand customer requirements and offer tailored transportation solutions, including FTL, LTL, last-mile delivery, and specialized logistics.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless execution of transportation services.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitors, and potential
  growth opportunities.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage pricing strategies.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the organization.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or client management within the transportation/logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of trucking, freight brokerage, supply chain, and logistics operations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, and meet sales targets.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
