Project Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Proven working experience as a project engineer
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as MS Project / Primavera / Mss office Skills
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards

Responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnels performance) and report regularly on project status
• Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• To ensure projects are completed according to project plans.
• Responsibilities of the project engineer are inter-discipline coordination and overall quality control of the work.
• Understands contract documents and identifies gaps in the systems documentation.
• Maintains and updates Purchasing Schedule.
• Reviews submittals for conformance to contract documents to customer.
• Identifies lead times for materials purchases and tracks fabrication.
• Maintains project documentation list.
• Handles clients needs with a sense of Urgency.
• Understands and exceeds client expectations Project Safety.
• Supports and interacts with Field Supervision to perform as a cohesive team.
• Assists in preparation and implementation of Project Execution Plan.
• Attends the Weekly Progress Meetings (Internal as well as with Client) and assist in preparation of MOM.
• Monitors work in progress and prepares weekly report of the status of each assignment.
• Ensuring all procedures and calculations are submitted to the client for review and approval.
• Coordinates materials and assists in the logistics, its shipment and receipt at payment from customer.
• Coordinates with all projects related personnel on day-today progress of work activities, procurement and operations to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Provide full support as required by the Management for all projects.
