Business Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Work closely with a team of developers on US mortgage-related applications 
• Work cross-functionally with different internal teams and gather business requirements. 
• Understand the end-use of the concepts and work backward to create a functionally sound and dependable design that does justice to the core concepts. 
• Identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access. 
• Conducting research on the domain and extracting useful information to aid the development team in creating business solutions for the process. 
• Assess and document processes to help design the target state and shape how it can be achieved using technology. 

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, Waterfall, and Agile methodology for Project Management is preferred. 
• Experience with Agile principles, Jira & Confluence tools will be an added advantage. 
• Support business and IT teams, including requirements gathering and project management for new development and integration projects with little or no direction. 
• Ability to think out of the box and envision solutions for complex business requirements from cross-functional teams. 
• Highly disciplined, self-driven, and delivery-focused individual who can think rationally and deliver results in a high-paced environment. 
• Should possess the ability to think differently and produce unique results.
• Should not be intimidated by complex processes and high pressures of the role.

Education and Experience:

• 2-6 years as a Business Analyst in Financial Services (US mortgage experience preferred) 
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or other related fields.
