Experienced Preschool Teacher

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool / Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing and educating children in the 2-6 years age group, focusing on their cognitive, emotional, and social development. This role requires creativity, patience, and a deep passion for early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Implementation:
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans based on our international experiential curriculum.
• Incorporate play-based and thematic learning activities to foster curiosity and a love for learning.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage children and support their individual learning needs.

2.Classroom Management:

• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels valued and supported.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom with appropriate learning materials and resources.
• Monitor and guide childrens behavior using positive discipline techniques.

3. Child Development:

• Observe and assess the developmental progress of each child and maintain accurate records.
• Provide individualized attention and support to children, addressing their unique needs and interests.
• Foster the development of social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills through structured and unstructured activities.

4. Parent Communication:

• Establish and maintain open communication with parents regarding their childs progress, behavior, and any concerns.
• Conduct regular parent-teacher meetings and provide updates on childrens development and achievements.
• Involve parents in classroom activities and encourage their participation in school events.

5. Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Share insights and best practices with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of education.

6. Health and Safety:

• Ensure the health and safety of all children by following school policies and procedures.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and rest times.
• Administer basic first aid as needed and report any incidents to the administration promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Certification in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
• Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity, patience, and a nurturing personality.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Japanese is a plus.
