Job Title : NOC Monitoring L2 Support Engineer

Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled NOC Monitoring L2 Support Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing advanced network and system monitoring, handling escalated issues, and ensuring network stability across our infrastructure
. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in troubleshooting complex network incidents and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address recurring issues. This role requires the ability to respond promptly to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to improve overall system reliability.
Key Responsibilities :
Incident Management and Troubleshooting :
- Manage and resolve escalated incidents from the L1 team, including in-depth troubleshooting of network, server, and application-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents, identifying long-term solutions to prevent downtime and enhance network performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to resolve complex issues impacting the network and IT infrastructure.
Change Management and Network Stability :
- Implement changes and upgrades to the network infrastructure in accordance with established change management procedures.
- Maintain and develop best practices for network monitoring, including setting appropriate alert thresholds and defining incident response protocols.
Team Support and Guidance :
- Provide guidance and support to L1 support team members, including offering technical coaching and suggesting improvements to processes and troubleshooting techniques.
- Act as an escalation point for the L1 team and assist in resolving critical issues in a timely manner.
Reporting and Documentation :
- Generate detailed reports on system health, incident resolution, and performance metrics, providing insights to management for continuous improvement.
- Document network issues, resolution steps, and best practices to build a comprehensive knowledge base for future reference.
Skills & Qualifications :
Technical Expertise :
- Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and firewall configurations.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, and Zabbix.
- Experience with ITIL processes, incident management, and working with ticketing systems.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work effectively under pressure to resolve complex technical issues.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot network, server, and application issues, ensuring minimal impact on the network's stability.
Communication Skills :
- Advanced proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with global teams and preparing incident reports.
Certifications and Experience :
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or other network-related certifications are preferred.
- Experience with networking tools and network monitoring systems.
Additional Requirements :
- Flexibility to work in rotating shifts and manage on-call responsibilities as part of a 24/7 network support team.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Hands-on experience with advanced network troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Experience working in a NOC environment, particularly in an enterprise-scale network infrastructure.
