Senior Cloud Engineer

You will be an experienced Cloud Engineer who has solid experience in provisioning cloud infrastructure in collaboration with IT and R&D teams and has successfully built and deployed production ready cloud native environments in top tier cloud providers that are secure, scalable and robust. Educating and mentoring less skilled team members should come naturally

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES

Work as a member of the cloud engineering team in creating and maintaining cloud native environments using Infrastructure as Code

Collaborate with other IT teams as well as R&D teams to design the best possible cloud architecture for each application or service

Participate in developing the corporate cloud governance model, documenting guidelines and best practices in our documentation system

Proactively monitoring infrastructure load trends and recommending the best path for scalability with a preventative mindset

Keeping the Lionbridge infrastructure and services up and running with a five-nines philosophy

Managing a high-availability emergency response schedule with automated system alerts

Monitoring and optimizing infrastructure costs at a monthly basis

Performing other tasks which are crucial for projects and daily task to run properly according to instructions of the manager

REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelors' degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Engineering.

Experience:

Experience in provisioning and maintaining infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes at large production-level deployments

Experienced with Azure and/or AWS with over 5 years in practice

Experience with real-time failover architecture, principles, and processes.

Experience with systems monitoring, alerting and analytics.

Experience developing custom solutions for systems monitoring, deployments, continuous integration, etc.

Basic experience with Windows and UNIX Operating Systems and Networking.

Knowledge of the demands that a Microservices architecture requires to building the correct infrastructure and monitoring systems to support.
