Specialist / Senior Specialist - .NET Backend Developer

Principal responsibilities:

This job description outlines the key responsibilities, interfaces, and required skills for the .NET Backend Developer role, ensuring a clear understanding of the position's expectations and requirements.

The developer will work on various backend projects, including the development of RESTful APIs, integration with Microsoft Graph, and implementation of authentication and authorization mechanisms.

** Please note, candidate will be considered for Specialist or Senior Specialist position based on years of experience and skill level.

Primary Tasks:

• Develop and maintain backend services using .NET 8 and C#.
• Implement data access layers using Entity Framework and MS SQL.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs.
• Integrate with Microsoft Graph for various functionalities.
• Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth and JWT concepts.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to ensure seamless integration of services.
• Utilize Git for version control and collaboration.
• Participate in CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
• Deploy and manage applications on Azure Cloud.
• Work in an Agile project environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure the continuous improvement and maintenance of an already existing application.

Required key skills (functional/technical):

• Proficiency in .NET 8, C#, Entity Framework, and MS SQL.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with Microsoft Graph integration.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth and JWT.
• Proficiency in using Git for version control.
• Experience with CI/CD processes and tools, particularly Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud services.
• Experience working in Agile project environments.

Required qualifications/experience (internal & external candidates)

Qualification:

• A Bachelor/ Master degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent from a reputed institute

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Azure B2C is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong hands-on experience in web, client server development using Microsoft technology.
• Experience in working in offshore teams.
• Exposure to working in a geographically dispersed environment
