Patent Associate

We are an esteemed Intellectual Property Law Firm seeking a highly skilled and competent Patent Associate with a background in mechanical or ICT fields to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patent drafting, handling office action responses, conducting patent hearings, and contributing to client engagement and business generation efforts. Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and file patent applications, with a particular focus on mechanical or ICT technologies, ensuring precision and technical clarity.
• Prepare responses to office actions and represent clients in patent hearings.
• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on patent matters within mechanical, ICT, or related fields.
• Collaborate with inventors, R&D teams, and clients to understand technical details and develop strong patent applications.
• Stay updated on patent law and regulatory developments to ensure compliance.
• Actively engage with clients, providing expert guidance and building long-term relationships.
• Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential clients, attending networking events, and supporting marketing strategies.
• Assist in client communications and help expand the firm's client portfolio through strategic outreach.

Skill Set Required:

• Patent Drafting Expertise: Minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience in drafting patent applications, with a focus on mechanical or ICT technologies.
• Patent Prosecution & Hearings: Experience in preparing office action responses and handling hearings.
• Client Engagement: Ability to build strong client relationships, understand their needs, and offer solutions.
• Business Generation: Demonstrated interest or experience in client acquisition, networking, and contributing to business development.
• Education: A Masters or PhD degree will be preferred.
• Certification: Registered Patent Agent status will be an added advantage.
• Technical Aptitude: Ability to deeply understand and analyze technical subject matters in mechanical or ICT fields for patent applications.
