Job Title: Specialist Windows & VMware

Experience: 7-10 Years of Experience

Key Responsibilities:

1. Able to self-drive stakeholders requirements and prioritize work through personal responsibility, accountability, and teamwork.
2. Participate in project review meetings as needed.
3. Work in a team environment and foster open communication to ensure knowledge transfer to team members.
4. Participate in on-call after-hours coverage in case of emergency issue arises.
5. Ability to multitask and handle urgent interruptions with poise and professionalism.
6. Function as a subject matter expert/technical point of contact.
7. Create and maintain knowledge base articles to prevent & resolve similar issues quickly.
8. Virtualization project SOW preparation and execution of virtualization projects.
9. Find RCA & solution for escalated issues.

Essential Technical Skillsets:

VMware:

1. Expert level of work experience in VMware ESXi 7.0 & 8.0 environment.
2. Installation & Configuration of VMware ESXi host & vCenter.
3. Managing and troubleshooting Enterprise VMware environments
4. Managing and troubleshooting on VMware vMotion, Storage vMotion, High Availability, DRS
5. Deploy virtual machines, use clones, snapshots, templates.
6. Managing and troubleshooting Virtual Volumes technology.
7. Managing Virtual Machine Snapshots
8. Troubleshooting with the help of VMware Logs & vCenter logs
9. Troubleshooting on VMware performance issue with commands
10. Troubleshooting experience on vCenter performance counter
11. Good experience in VMware Horizon (Virtual Desktop) environment.

Other Infra Skills:

1. In-depth Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2016/2019 Administration: Install, Configure & manage.
2. Microsoft troubleshooting skills and tools. Including OS Hardening and Vulnerability assessment.
3. Knowledge of TCPIP, DHCP, DNS and Troubleshooting.
4. Good Power shell scripting Knowledge.Good Knowledge in Veeam backup software.Experience in Compliance, Patch management and Pure Storage.Should have worked on supporting an enterprise class Data Center.

Hands on experience with physical server installation and Willing to jump into and learn new technologies as business needs arise

Good To have technical skills:

Having experience in other hypervisors such as Hyper-V or Citrix Xen Server

Working knowledge in eco-systems like OpenShift, Docker, Azure / GCP is a plus.

Ability to automate repeated tasks using Ansible.

VMWare certification (VCP) will be added advantage.
