We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to manage high-value procurement activities in luxury asset classes, specifically aircrafts (aviation), yachts (marine) and real estate properties. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and principals to identify sourcing needs, budgeting, evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts - in affect handle procurement that align with principal's objectives and financial targets.
This role requires deep knowledge of procurement practices, strategic negotiation skills, and industry-specific expertise to ensure optimal cost-efficiency and quality in all acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Management
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers in the luxury asset sectors, focusing on aircrafts, yachts, and high-value real estate properties.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and service providers to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality assets.
- Develop and implement supplier evaluation criteria to ensure alignment with quality standards, industry regulations, and ethical practices.
2. Procurement Planning & Analysis
- Analyze procurement needs in consultation with relevant stakeholders and plan sourcing strategies to fulfill these needs.
- Prepare procurement forecasts and budgets, taking into account financial constraints and project timelines.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs while maintaining asset quality.
3. Contract Negotiation & Management
- Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and warranties with suppliers to secure the best possible agreements.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements in each sector.
- Monitor contract performance and manage any changes or updates in alignment with project needs and organizational goals.
4. Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Assess potential risks associated with procurement activities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Keep abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors that could impact procurement and supply.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on suppliers, assets, and contracts to minimize exposure to financial, operational, and reputational risks.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate with finance, legal, compliance, and project management teams to ensure transparent, seamless procurement operations.
- Provide regular reports to senior management, including procurement performance, cost savings, and acquisition updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement-related inquiries and coordinate communication between stakeholders and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications will be a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on luxury assets such as aircraft, yachts, or real estate.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement and contract management software, as well as data analysis tools.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of market dynamics, regulations, and compliance standards related to aircraft, yacht, and real estate acquisitions.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
