Job Title: Senior Draftsman

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Draftsman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans for construction projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with project specifications, design standards, and relevant codes, while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to deliver high-quality designs on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Drawing Creation: Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Autodesk Inventor. Develop plans, sections, elevations, and detailed working drawings in line with project requirements and specifications.
2. Collaboration & Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand and refine project requirements. Coordinate with contractors and consultants to ensure that designs are feasible, practical, and aligned with project goals.
3. Quality Control: Review and check all drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to relevant standards and regulations. Ensure that all designs comply with building codes and regulations, maintaining high quality throughout the design process.
4. Project Documentation: Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation. Assist in preparing as-built drawings and project documentation at the completion of the project.
5. Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior draftsmen, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Participate in design reviews, offering constructive feedback to improve the overall design quality.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a draftsman in the construction or engineering industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Revit, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with different stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with 3D modeling and rendering.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software.
