Group Lead Engineering (Industrial UPS System and Solar PV System)

To Plan, organise and ensure engineering of solar & industrial UPS systems with focus on scaling up the system to GW power keeping in view approved budgets and cost optimisation measures.

Job Accountabilities

• Accountable for engineering of String inverters, Central inverters, hybrid inverters and Optimizer systems and detailed design review with DEC.
• Accountable for engineering various UPS configurations and detailed design review with DEC.
• Accountable for engineering of Battery systems integration with UPS and solar equipment as per industry benchmark / international standards
• Accountable for selection of appropriate inverter and Power electronic equipment for Solar PV system & UPS systems.
• Accountable for engineering, commissioning and testing of Industrial UPS system and Solar PV inverters and Power electronics equipment in co-ordination with DEC, OEM & user teams.
• Accountable for Periodic review of Performance monitoring & benchmarking as per international standards.
• Accountable for ensuring continuous improvement in design and modification by means of active interaction with stakeholders, optimizing engineering practices
• Accountable for Overseeing Statutory and Regulatory compliance at engineering stage.
• Liaise with OEMs / packagers / consultants to be abreast of latest trends in technology, design etc. Support for procurement / services scope finalization, vendor selection, validation for critical equipment.

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

• Profound knowledge in detailed engineering of Solar PV Power electronic components & industrial UPS systems.
• Knowledge of power electronics principles, practices and codes and standards associated with various systems and equipment
• Functional expertise in developing/review robust design basis, guidelines for systems.
• Ability to review and optimize Layout, Electrical SLD, BOQ etc.
• Knowledge of the latest technological trends in the Power electronics sector.
• Knowledge of tools for simulation, modelling, configuration of systems
• Knowledge of system sizing calculations, integration techniques.
• Participate & conduct design reviews with all cross functional teams.
• Knowledge of industrial testing procedures.

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)

• Candidate should have BE / B Tech / M Tech in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Electronics with 15 years of experience in detailed engineering of Power electronics equipment / UPS/ Solar PV system Power electronics components
• Strong analytical skills, Networking skills and communication skills.
