GM Engineering/Chemical industry /Dahej

We are chemical manufacturing company looking candidate for GM Engineering based at Gujarat.

Job Purpose:

To lead the Engineering function at Dahej site. To ensure smooth & cost efficient maintenance activities of all Engineering sub functions like Utility, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation etc to ensure maximum uptime of the plants

Role and Responsibilities

• Planning and effecting predictive & preventive maintenance schedules through SAP with proactive steps to reduce the down time of plant & utility equipment to increase machine up time & equipment reliability. Conversant with MTTR, MTBF processes.
• Proactively identifying the areas of obstruction / breakdowns and taking steps to rectify the equipment through application of troubleshooting tools. Taking corrective measures for process enhancement
• Preparing annual maintenance budget and adhering to the budget with proper tracking mechanism
• Compliance and documentation for ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007, OMS and PSM checklist
• Carrying out advance planning for resource mobilization, manpower deployment and rendering technical support; ensuring the execution of site projects within time, cost & budgetary parameters
• Anchoring on-site project activities to ensure completion of project within the time & cost parameters and effective resource utilisation to maximise the output
• Leading, mentoring & monitoring the performance of the team members to ensure efficiency in process operations and meeting of individual & group targets.
• Creating and sustaining a dynamic environment that fosters development opportunities and motivates high performance amongst team members
• Ensure timely statutory compliance of Engineering activities.

Required Knowledge (of any equipment / Tools and techniques / Software)

CPP/Process boiler, Chilling system, Cooling towers, Glass lined Equipment, Filters, dryers, furnace.

Education & Experience

Education

BE/ B.Tech. Mechanical

Experience

Essential: 17 years

Competencies / Skills

Exposure to TPM, Good engineering practises, Reliability, Sustainability Brown field projects.

Having Knowledge of SAP MM, PM (Planning, Scheduling) modules and permit systems based on SAP.

Experience in handling site projects

Good negotiation skill

Keen interest in project management, tendering, business development and executive relationship.

Administrative skills of handling multiskilled manpower & material planning for execution of work.

An effective communicator with excellent relationship, management skills and strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities.

Preferred: Employee with below competencies

• Experience in hazardous chemical batches processes.
• Must have handle different type of MOC mainly, glass lined, graphite and SS.
• Exposure to the maintenance of various Equipments like CSTR, PFR, crystallizers, various filters and dryers
• Exposure to various utilities mainly CPP, process boilers, chilling systems with various brine solutions.
• Basic Business Excellence activities like 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean Management, TPM, TQM, Energy Conservation etc.
