Camera Testing & Tunning Head

The Camera Tuning and Testing Head is responsible for ensuring the accurate performance and optimization of camera systems for mobile phone. This role involves working with cutting-edge camera technologies, including optical systems, image sensors, and related hardware, to perform tests, calibrations, and fine-tuning of camera setups to meet specified standards. The role combines technical expertise in imaging technology with problem-solving skills to ensure the highest quality in camera performance, especially in professional and high-precision environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Camera Calibration and Tuning:

• Extensive 10+ experience in ISP Tuning, Image Quality
• Hands-on expertise in Subjective and Objective Image Quality Tuning and Image Quality Analysis
• Skillset on Image Quality Concepts such as 3A (Auto Exposure, Auto White Balance, Auto Focus), SNR, Sharpness, Color Correction, Lens Shading, Tone Mapping, HDR, and more.
• Skillset on CMOS Image Sensors, including HDR Sensors and RGB-IR sensors, like Sony, Samsung. Omni Vision OV and more.
• Skillset on optimize image quality for various lighting conditions and operational requirements.
• Tune camera settings, such as white balance, exposure, ISO, shutter speed, and color profiles.
• Perform lens calibration, focus adjustments, and alignment of camera systems.
  Testing and Validation:
• Candidate should have experience in utilizing various Camera Lab Equipment like Color Booth, HDR Light Box, Imatest Test Stand, Spherical Light Box for Wide FoV Cameras and Chroma Meter.
• Experienced in working with Lab Charts, including 24-Patch Color Checker, eSFR (ISO12233:2017), SFR-Reg and more
• Design and execute detailed test plans to evaluate camera performance, including resolution, noise, dynamic range, and frame rate.
• Assess image quality across different parameters such as sharpness, distortion, and color accuracy.
• Develop and use automated tools and software for camera testing.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze test data and identify performance issues, bottlenecks, or inconsistencies.
• Document test results, calibration settings, and provide actionable feedback for improvements.
• Work with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
• Sensor and Lens Evaluation:
• Test and verify the performance of image sensors, ensuring that they meet design and production standards.
• Evaluate optical performance across various lenses and configurations.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

• Collaborate with R&D, software engineering & Test team to improve camera hardware and software integration.
• Work closely with product managers to meet customer requirements and technical specifications.

Maintain Testing Equipment and Setup:

• Ensure that all camera testing and calibration equipment is properly maintained and up-to-date.
• Manage and organize camera testing setups and environments, ensuring consistency and reliability in results

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in electronics, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in camera ISP tuning testing,3A, calibration, or related fields (such as optics or image processing).
• Experience with image sensors, optical systems, and camera calibration techniques.
• Experience in using image analysis and testing IMA software.
• Experience with diverse camera projects based on Mediatek, Qualcomm, Unisoc chipset.
