Role & responsibilities

Monitor the Mount Points Admin should monitor all mount points including app,web & Database. If required space then he should take corrective action.

2 CPU utilization Monitor the CPU utilization and he should take the corrective action if required

3 RAM utilization Monitor the RAM utilization and he should take the corrective action if required

4 VM Snapshot Admin should take the VM snapshot on every fourth nightly for DB , app & web. The snapshot should not be older than 15 days.

5 VM Snapshot VM snapshot should be available after successful patching or any version upgrade of OS,DB APP.

6 DC & DR sync Always maintain the DC & DR in sync wrt configuration, RAM, CPU, Patching & Version.

7 OS root VG Monitor root VG in OS root installation directory

8 Threshold Limit Maintain the Threshold limit for CUP,RAM & server load.

9 Use OEM tool Use OEM tool to monitor servers if available 10 Monitor Logs Monitor OS logs, if found any exception, error than take necessary action.

11 Manage LPAR Manage and monitor LPAR

12 Manage TSM & Tape Backup Manage and monitor TSM and assure the backup done successfully on local mount point & tape.

13 VM Image Restoration If required to restore the Image than he sould be capable to restore & make the configuration changes as per network setup required for VM

14 Manage Users Management, privileges, roles and profiles of users

15 Daily Report Present the report to the management about servers.
