Senior Structural Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Structural Engineer will lead and manage the design, analysis, and execution of structural engineering projects across a wide range of construction sectors. This role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that structural designs are safe, functional, and in compliance with local building codes and regulations. The Senior Structural Engineer will also mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to ensure the successful completion of projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Structural Design & Analysis:
• Lead the design and analysis of complex structural systems for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.
• Project Management:
• Manage and oversee the progress of structural engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets for the overseas office.
• Leadership & Mentorship:
• Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, offering technical support, training, and guidance in structural engineering principles and best practices.
• Client Liaison & Reporting:
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements, address concerns, and provide updates on project status.
• Risk Management & Problem Solving:
• Identify potential structural risks early in the design phase and propose cost-effective, efficient solutions.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated on new engineering technologies, design methodologies, and industry trends to continually improve design processes and project outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Professional Engineering license (PE) or Chartered Engineer status is required.
• 7+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of leading and executing structural designs for large-scale, complex projects.
• Experience with various materials, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry, and knowledge of design techniques for different structural systems.
• Strong experience with structural engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro).
