Job Title/Role: Lead Indirect Procurement (IT Procurement)
Function: Supply Chain Management

JOB PURPOSE
To lead and manage indirect procurement activities, developing and executing strategies that align with organizational goals, drive cost efficiency, and ensure business continuity. This role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, spend analysis, market research, supplier relationship management, and effective contract negotiation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and execute category strategies that align with organizational objectives, drive cost optimization, and ensure business continuity through effective demand planning and strategic contracting approaches.
Devise short-term and long-term contracting strategies, leveraging appropriate sourcing models (e.g., consolidated buying, spot buying) to balance cost, risk, and supplier capabilities.
Proactively identify and qualify new suppliers/vendors, including assessments of emerging technologies and innovative solutions to enhance the supply base and drive competitive advantage.
Conduct thorough spend analysis and market research to understand the supplier landscape, determine optimal sourcing channels (OEM vs. non-OEM), and maximize value for the organization.
Manage strategic supplier relationships through robust governance mechanisms, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure service excellence and mitigate risks.
Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, leveraging deep category knowledge, market insights, and strong negotiation skills to drive cost savings and mitigate risks.
Engage cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate sourcing strategies, and ensure alignment with business objectives throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
Explore opportunities to consolidate the group requirement for taking price advantage.
Exposure to Legal Terms and Conditions for robust contracting
Tracking latest trends on Pricing and Business Volumes of various OEM Vendors
Provide guidance and training in the global SP program to internal stakeholders and suppliers
Drive and participate in improvement projects, implementing SP Policies, guidelines and Tools.
Support Category Managers in understanding audit results, follow up on improvement plans and embedding SP Compliance requirements into category strategies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Educational Qualifications: BE/B-Tech or equivalent from a Premier University, Masters in SCM/Materials Management (preferred)
Relevant Experience: 12+ years of ExperienceExperience in implementing procurement best practices, process improvements, Sustainable Procurement and leveraging technology tools/systems to drive efficiencies.
