Electrical Program Lead Engineer

There is an opening for the role of Electrical Program Lead Engineer (EE 4) within the Customer Support Business Group (CSBG) of LIGHT organization. This position will be based out of Bangalore and will closely be working with the Engineering & Cross functional teams across global regions of Lam Research like US & India. CSBG mainly focuses on delivering value to customers throughout the product lifecycle by providing Spares, Upgrades and services to maximize the value of customer capital assets. This high energy individual will focus on development and support for Productivity and Technology Upgrades to our global customers through PPLs/EPLs for Deposition and Etch product lines. Meet Corporate metrics and goals set to achieve excellence and deliver fast solutions to our global Customer. Also, collaborate with various global product and field support teams to address issues.

• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in electrical & electronics engineering or electronics & communication engineering with minimum of 11 to 15 years of related experience; or master s degree with minimum 9 to 13 years of experience

• Responsible for performing professional electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and testing in support of electrical systems and / or power distribution, down to the discrete circuit and PCBA level.
• Selection of Electrical & Electronics OEM components and materials for Power distribution, I/O Controllers, Sensors, Cables, PCBs etc.
• Learns about strategic product issues from Level 29 & above and ensures team members compliance to PDR/DDR process and driving continuous improvement of systems, products, and processes.
• Responsible for performing professional electrical engineering design, development, modification, tool upgrade and testing in support of electrical systems and / or power distribution
• Accept technical responsibility for the project and staff working on the project
• Work with a multidisciplinary engineering design team: electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, technical support, productivity engineers, and suppliers, on the design, modification.
• Outstanding analysis and proven trouble-shooting skills and ability to drive functional requirements & execute in a dynamic team environment

• Proficient in system level understanding of Electro-Mechanical Sub-systems, Power Distribution/Control systems and/or Industrial Automation.
• Proficient in Electrical & Electronic Circuit design with safety interlocks & various circuit analyses/simulations.
• Hands-on experience in Low/High Voltage Electrical & Electronic circuit designs for Power and Control applications
• Well versed with micro controllers & PLC s on both hardware and firmware (Embedded) development
• Experience in programming in C/C++ programming language & Working knowledge of at least one real time operating system
• Working experience on FPGA/CPLD and able to develop or read Verilog code for various system blocks
• Must have worked on any one of electrical engineering CAD tools like PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, Cadence or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design & simulation.
• Familiar with Safety standards like - UL 508, IEC 60947, SEMI S22, NFPA79.
• Fully proficient in Quality Tools (DFSS, DFMA, DFMEA, 8D) & Systematic problem-solving methods.

• Understanding on LON protocol working and must be well versed in communications protocols (SPI, I2C, EtherCAT, Ethernet & RS232).
• Understanding on ECAT hardware design and Basics (hands on) of Xilinx Zynq FPGA dev board
• Experience in design & UVM based verification of FPGAs and/or ASIC and specifically, Xilinx SoC devices
• Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process and Project Management.
• Experience in selection of components, embedded firmware development, setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
