Network Engineer L2 (Must have Cisco ACI, VXLAN)

Must Have Skills:

VXLAN Fabric, Data Centre Fabric technologies like ACI, Datacentre working experience is mandatory,

Specialized knowledge and expertise in the areas of network routing and switching,

Hands on experience of working on Cisco Nexus 5k, 7k and 9K devices, Arista 7504, 7050 juniper 5100 devices.

Strong knowledge of network protocols

Certification: Good to have / Not mandatory

Domain: Data Centre experience is required, any industry will be fine.

Work from Office, 24/7 Support expected / 5 days working

Roles & responsibilities:

The person will be responsible for providing specialized knowledge and expertise in the areas of network routing and switching. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining routing and switching solutions to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of the organization's network infrastructure. You will serve as a technical resource and advisor, collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing guidance on network design, troubleshooting, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop routing and switching strategies, considering factors such as network segmentation, high availability, and performance optimization • Configure and deploy network routers, switches, and related devices based on design specifications and industry best practices. • Configure and optimize network switching technologies, such as VLANs, spanning tree protocols (STP/RSTP/MSTP), and link aggregation. • Analyze and troubleshoot complex network issues, including routing anomalies, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks. • Utilize network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities to identify and resolve network incidents in a timely manner. • Create and maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures. • Serve as the highest level of technical escalation for routing and switching-related incidents, troubleshooting complex issues to resolution. • Evaluate and implement routing and switching-related changes, including router and switch configurations, firmware upgrades, and network topology modifications. • Implement and maintain routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) to enable efficient and reliable packet forwarding. Desired Skills and Experience: • Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and MPLS. • Familiarity with network security principles and integration of security controls into the network infrastructure. • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Wireshark, SNMP, and NetFlow. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex network issues. • Hands on experience of working on Cisco Nexus 5k, 7k and 9K devices, Arista 7504, 7050 juniper 5100 devices. • Hands on experience on Data Centre Fabric technologies like ACI. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are desirable.
