Job Description
The Senior Site Technician for Solar Sites will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of
solar energy systems. This role involves working closely with the project team to ensure the efficient and
safe operation of solar O&M. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with solar PV systems and
a strong understanding of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management and Coordination:
o Install and commission solar PV systems according to project specifications and safety
standards.
o Manage day-to-day site activities, including construction, installation, and commissioning of
solar projects.
o Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of
project milestones.
o Supervise construction crews and subcontractors, providing technical guidance and support
as needed.
o Conduct site assessments and prepare sites for installation/Operation.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
o Perform routine maintenance and inspections on solar PV systems.
o Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to solar PV systems, including inverters, panels, and
wiring.
o Repair and replace faulty components as needed.
o Provide technical support to resolve site issues, equipment failures, and installation
challenges.
o Troubleshoot technical problems and coordinate with engineering teams to implement
effective solutions.
o Conduct site surveys and assessments to optimize solar panel placement, system design, and
performance.
Monitoring & Reporting:
o Monitor system performance and ensure optimal energy production.
o Maintain detailed records of installations, inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs.
o Provide regular reports on system performance and maintenance activities to the Site
Manager.
Safety & Compliance:
o Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
o Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local electrical codes and standards.
o Participate in safety training and drills as required.

Qualifications
Minimum Education & Certification:
o Diploma in Electrical or Bachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electrical &
Electronics) or related field; technical certification in electrical, renewable energy, or a related
field is preferred.
Experience:
o Minimum of 1 years of experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar PV
systems.
o Experience working with electrical systems and components.
o Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
o Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
o Strong technical knowledge of solar photovoltaic systems, construction practices, and
electrical installations.
o Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing solar projects in India.
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
o Proficient in using hand and power tools.
o Ability to read and interpret technical SLD, documents, blueprints, and schematics.
o Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to work at Site (Sirsa, Haryana) and in various weather conditions.
o Comfortable with working on Ground Mount Solar (Site Based Job)
