Education BE / Diploma in Engineering
(Metallurgy / Welding/ Mechanical)
Professional Experience
15- 20 yrs for in similar profile in manufacturing Engineering preferably in Steam Turbine company.
Key Deliverables / Responsibilities
o WPS-PQR, process, Manufacturing Engineering and Component Development
o Managing and controlling the welding consumable issue,
Training the welding staff & welding performance
monitoring.
o Overseeing the activities of Welder qualification and updating
the same in the ERP system
o Qualification of welding procedures to various codes of
fabrication and meet the requirements of customer specification
o Standardization, procurement and Testing of Consumables
o Trouble shooting on shop floor and failure analysis
o Monitoring of welding quality and analyzing repair to take corrective
action
Key relationships
o Customer focus
o Communication skills
o Auditing skills
o Understanding of Codes and standard requirements (ASME/AWS
and customer specification
o Ability to understand structural, vessels and piping fabrication drawings
o Safe working Practices
