Job Description
Staff having skill or expertise in following activities are suitable for this role.
1) Must possess high knowledge on all welding processes.
2) Ability to identify all welding defects (weld spatter, cluster porosity, lack of fusion, undercut, slag inclusion, etc.,) and must possess skillset on how to attend the defects.
3) Must be aware about all testing procedures, mainly Non-Destructive tests like Ultrasound test, Radiographic test, etc.,)
4) Ability to handle and utilize material resources like estimation and allocation of gas cylinders required for job, requirement of weld consumables, welding machines, etc.,
Other Points: -
- Welding Operations :
- Perform enclosed arc welding.
- Blueprint Interpretation :
- Read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Quality Control :
- Inspect welds for quality and adherence to specifications; make adjustments as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance :
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment.
- Safety Compliance :
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaboration :
- Work with other welders and team members to meet project timelines and goals.
- Documentation :
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, materials used, and any issues encountered.
