Job Description
- BE/ B.Tech or Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master s degree preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), or equivalent.
Role:
To prepare and implement the EHS Plan at project site as per client requirements
Coordinate with client representative on regular basis for their EHS requirements
Carry out Daily safety rounds and report safety observations and provide the supports to area in-charges for corrective actions.
Intervene in unsafe activities or operations and take action to correct unsafe conditions, performance or actions
To ensure proper implementation of safe work practices and work permit systems
To investigate all incidents including near miss, injury, property damage and fire incident and Advise on corrective actions for all incidents, accidents or near misses
To impart safety training and coordinate assist for conducting mock drills.
To carry out the safety audit and inspections as per plan and maintain the records.
To carry out the theme based safety inspections.
To verify and monitor all routine and non-routine activities and check the work permit requirements for hot work, working at height, excavation, open field radiography, etc.
To conduct Safety Tool box talks and BBS rounds
To review JSAs, HIRACs, OCPs, Legal Register, ERP and other system documents periodically.
To facilitate mitigation measures such as communication and coordination with QRT and Medical Teams, rescue the site, coordinating for fire fighting and first aid requirement, etc., in case of any kind of emergency situation
To organise various safety motivational programs and campaigns on various occasions
To conduct safety committee meetings and maintain MOMs.
To carryout internal inspection and legal inspection (TPI) of lifting machines, lifting tools, etc.
To perform all EHS related tasks as assigned by management
To Maintain and manage safety records, reports, registers and documentation, as required
