Lab Analyst - Microbiology

Job Overview:

Microbiologist responsible for conducting research, experiments, and analysis in areas such as microbiology, water technology, or environmental science. This role involves coordinating with R&D projects, developing innovative solutions, analysing data, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners. The Scientist ensures compliance with scientific standards and contributes to advancing the organization's research objectives.

Job Description:

1. Execute scientific research and experiments.
2. Develop new processes or technologies related to water, wastewater, or environmental applications.
3. Analyse and interpret data, preparing reports and presentations.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
5. Ensure lab compliance with quality and safety standards (e. g. , NABL, ISO 17025).
6. Should be authorised signatory for NABL reports
7. Stay updated on advancements in the field and integrate new technologies.

Key Qualifications:

1. Master s degree in microbiology, Environmental Science, or related field.
2. 5 years of experience in scientific research on microbiology field.
3. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
4. Proficiency in microbial lab equipment, research tools, and data analysis software.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledgeable in Microbial Test methods of APHA/BIS/BAM/ISO.
6. Skilled and experienced in testing water and wastewater
7. He or she must be NABL approved Authorized signatory for microbiology scope
8. Method development, validation & evaluation of measurement uncertainty as per International StandardSample Analysis -Water , Wastewater and Sludge Sample analysis, Coordinating with R&D projects.
9. Method verification and measurement uncertainty .
10. Critical Consumables evaluation, Media Quality checks, Culture handling.
11. Environmental monitoring
12. Monitoring of instruments w. r. t calibration and breakdown/maintenance.
13. ILC/PT raw data/calculations.
14. Develop documentation and system as per Quality Management system as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
