Job Description
- Project Layout and Data Management :
- Create, manage, and maintain project layout data : This includes establishing reference points, control lines, and benchmarks within the tunnel project.
- Standardized machine control and survey models : The Tunnel Survey Manager ensures that accurate survey models are in place for construction machinery (such as tunnel boring machines) to follow during excavation.
- Construction survey data management : Collecting, organizing, and maintaining survey data related to tunnel construction.
- Personnel Management :
- Delegate tasks : The manager assigns responsibilities to survey technicians and other team members.
- Scheduling : Coordinating work schedules for survey teams.
- Staffing : Responsible for hiring, training, and managing survey personnel.
- Quality Assurance and Standard Operating Procedures :
- Implement quality assurance processes : Ensuring accurate and consistent data collection during surveys.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures : Creating guidelines for survey activities within the department.
- Collaboration and Communication :
- Collaborate with other project stakeholders : Working closely with engineers, designers, and construction managers.
- Effective communication : Providing clear instructions to survey teams and reporting survey results to project leadership.
