AREA COLLECTION MANAGER

Key Responsibilities :

1. Collection Strategy & Execution :

   • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to achieve area-level recovery targets.
   • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly collection activities and ensure timely follow-ups.

2. Team Management :

   • Lead and supervise a team of collection officers and executives.
   • Provide training, support, and performance feedback to enhance team efficiency.

3. Portfolio Management :

   • Analyze delinquent accounts and prioritize recovery efforts based on risk and value.
   • Maintain an updated portfolio status and generate reports for management review.

4. Compliance & Risk Management :

   • Ensure adherence to company policies, legal frameworks, and regulatory requirements in the recovery process.
   • Identify potential risks in collection operations and implement preventive measures.

5. Customer Relationship Management :

   • Handle escalated customer issues and negotiate settlements to minimize losses.
   • Build rapport with customers to encourage timely payments and reduce future defaults.

6. Coordination & Reporting :

   • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, credit, operations) to resolve disputes and enhance collection efficiency.
   • Provide accurate and timely collection reports to regional or senior management.

7. Performance Monitoring :

   • Track area-level collection KPIs, including recovery rates, bucket-wise performance, and overdue percentages.
   • Implement corrective actions for underperforming accounts or teams.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Skills :
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and collection management tools/software.
  • Team leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

• Recovery rate and resolution percentage.
• Reduction in non-performing assets (NPAs).
• Team productivity and performance metrics.
• Customer satisfaction during recovery interactions.
• Adherence to compliance and risk management protocols.
