Job Description: Purchase Executive Construction Company

Position Title: Purchase Executive

Location: Prahladnagar, Ahmedabad

Reporting To: Purchase Head

Experience Required: 2-4 years in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the "CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY".

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support in Procurement Activities:

• Assist in sourcing construction materials, equipment, and services based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotations and compare pricing and specifications.
• Provide administrative support in negotiating terms and conditions with vendors.

2. Purchase Order Management:

• Help prepare and process purchase orders accurately.
• Track orders and provide updates to the senior purchase team or project managers.
• Assist in resolving minor discrepancies or issues related to delivery and orders.

3. Vendor Coordination:

• Support in maintaining a database of approved vendors and suppliers.
• Communicate with vendors to confirm order status, delivery timelines, and quality expectations.
• Assist in building and maintaining relationships with reliable suppliers.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain records of purchase requests, orders, and supplier contracts.
• Update procurement logs and prepare basic reports for review by the Purchase Manager.
• Ensure proper filing of invoices, receipts, and other procurement-related documents.

5. Inventory Support:

• Assist the inventory team in monitoring stock levels and coordinating replenishments.
• Provide support in verifying material deliveries at the site for accuracy and quality.

6. Compliance and Policy Adherence:

• Ensure all procurement activities comply with the company's policies and procedures.
• Stay informed of any changes in procurement guidelines and local regulations.

• Basic knowledge of construction materials and procurement processes.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic ERP tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an assistive role in procurement or purchasing.
• Familiarity with inventory management and procurement tools.
• Understanding of the construction industry's basic procurement needs.
