Filling Machine Operator

Job Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Filling Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team specializing in hard gelatin capsule production. The Filling Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting filling machines to ensure the efficient and accurate filling of hard gelatin capsules with pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation:
   
• Set up and operate filling machines according to established procedures and specifications.
• Monitor the filling process to ensure capsules are filled accurately and consistently.
• Adjust machine settings to accommodate different capsule sizes and product specifications.
2. Quality Control:
   
• Conduct routine checks to ensure capsules meet quality standards.
• Identify and report any deviations or defects in the filling process.
• Perform in-process quality checks and document results.
3. Maintenance:
   
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of filling machines to prevent malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel for more complex repairs and preventative maintenance.
4. Documentation:
   
• Accurately complete production logs, batch records, and other required documentation.
• Maintain records of machine performance, maintenance activities, and quality control checks.
5. Safety and Compliance:
   
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other regulatory requirements.
• Participate in safety training and contribute to a safe working environment.
6. Collaboration:
   
• Work closely with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality control personnel, and other team members.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machine operation is a plus.
• Previous experience in operating filling machines or similar equipment, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP and other regulatory standards.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
