Fabrication Quality Control Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1.Should have experience in Heavy fabrication equipments like Heat exchangers, boilers, cookers etc.

2.Should be NDT-Level 2, with sound knowledge of Welding processes ( SMAW / GMAW /GTAW etc)

3.Inprocess inspection of ongoing jobs as per drawing.

4.Handling TPI inspectors / Client during their visits to the plant for inspections and QC Clearance

5.Review of NDT reports such as LPT, UT, MPT and Interpretation of RT films

6.Should have knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, 45001

7.Problem solving for Internal / External NC’s with RCA and CAPA reports.

8.Daily monitoring and analyse internal rejection / rework at fabrication shop

9.Should have sound knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQ, Quality Assurance Plan

10.Should have Knowledge about ASME, API codes, QA/QC related documents

11.Good Communication Skill with Internal / External stakeholders

12. Ensure smooth day to day operation of fabrication quality control inside the plant along with CFT

13. Checking of final assemblies as per drawing for any corrections

14.Decision making skill based on engineering requirements

15.Ability to Handle of a Team of 4-5 QC engineers and daily monitoring of work load in QC dept.

16.Preparation of WI / SOP’s / QAP / product check lists etc.

17.Should have knowledge about pickling, passivation, painting etc.

18.Conduct Pneumatic and Hydraulic tests on fabricated equipment as per required pressure rating

19.Genaerate and maintain dimensional reports for all parts and final assemblies in line with drawing requirement

20.Sumbmit daily fabrication shop quality dashboard to HOD
