Quality Engineer-Fabrication

Reporting to QA, Manager

In this position Fabrication engineer will be responsible for

• Awareness on QMS (ISO:9001, ISO14001, ISO45001), guidelines for process & Quality Control.
• Knowledge on Quality Assurance Plan and parameters in line with tanks fabrication process.
• Inspection of all mechanical parts and items required to Transformers and its components.
• Knowledge of fabrication codes and standards as per ISO 10474:1991(E) 3.1; AWS D1.1:2000; AWS D1.1:2007; AWS D1.1:2012; AW5 D1.6/D1.6M:2007; ASME IX: 2007; ASME II: 2007:
• Sound knowledge of Transformers Tank fabrications process, critical quality requirements in product and process and painting standards such as ISO 8501, IEC12944, SSPC 1-10.
• Sound Knowledge on WPS/PQR/WPQ for welding, welders, and standard requirements.
• Welding process (GMAW/SMAW/GTAW) & Painting process as per ISO/ASTM
• Knowledge of Non-Destructive Methods for DP, MPT, RT, UT as per ASNT-SNT-TC-1A; ASTM E709; ASTM E 164; ASTM E165; ASTM E515.
• Inspection of different raw material (Mild Steel/SS) , process or intermediate products at supplier.
• Vendor development, training, improvement, and process control.
• Conducting supplier audit and evaluation
• Good communications skill in verbal and written mode for the daily reports and information circulation.
• Capable of identifying the Non-conformance and propose the solutions for improvement.
• Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
