Deputy Manager / Manager - Cost Estimation International Projects

Job Summary:

The Cost Estimator is responsible for analyzing project requirements, materials, labor, and other costs to provide accurate cost estimates. The role involves working closely with engineering, procurement, finance, and project management teams to ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement proposal strategies, estimation methodologies, and estimation schedules to ensure accurate cost assessments.
• Perform cost estimation & control by evaluating historical data and analyzing estimates submitted by Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams.
• Conduct detailed study and review of tender documents, scope of work, drawings, BOQ specifications, and client requirements for LT, HT, & EHV Electrical Projects.
• Perform technical & commercial evaluation of suppliers/vendors for electrical materials such as GIS, Power Transformers, EHV Equipment, RMUs, HT Panels, Distribution Transformers, LT Panel Boards, and other electrical components.
• Control and monitor project total expenditures, ensuring proper verification of invoices, claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors, and ensuring accurate cost recording and segregation.
• Attend project meetings and discussions with the Project Management Team (PMT) and provide project cost-related reports for management review on a monthly basis.
• Ensure that project expenditures are kept within the allocated budget, highlighting any variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and finance, to streamline cost estimation and control processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BE / B tech / MBA 8+ years of experience in Costing in the Renewable Energy

sectors in Power T& D domain in LT, HT & EHV on Power projects / EPC.

• Strong in data analytical, Budgeting, Costing & estimation.
• Possess good communication with fluency in English &Hindi is an added advantage.
• Candidates working in Gulf countries willing to relocate to Chennai India
