Cost-Out/VAVE Manager

Lead and guide the Cost-Out team and Should-Costing team, fostering collaboration and driving results.

• Develop team capabilities through mentorship, skill-building initiatives, and technical guidance.
• Act as the key technical authority and mentor for project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. Conduct comprehensive technical reviews of projects and deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility.
• Drive value engineering initiatives to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and improve profitability.
• Develop and implement cost-out strategies to optimize material, manufacturing, and design processes.
• Manage and oversee the creation of should-cost models to provide accurate cost estimations and insights.
• Identify and drive innovative opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or performance.
• Own and oversee all aspects of project deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and manufacturing, to achieve project goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in value engineering and costing processes.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align on project requirements and deliverables.
• Present technical solutions, cost optimization strategies, and project updates to Client and relevant teams.
• Bachelors/master’s degree in engineering or related field
• 10+ years of experience in value engineering, cost optimization, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing technical projects in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong expertise in value engineering principles and cost optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience in developing should-cost models and managing cost-out initiatives.
• Proficient in technical reviews, project planning, and deliverable management.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in a global manufacturing or engineering organization.
• Familiarity with tools and software used in cost estimation and value engineering.
• VAVE Certification.
