Solar Power Plant Designer

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Engineering:

• Design and engineer both rooftop and ground-mount solar PV power plants.
• Select suitable solar modules, Inverter and BOS based on project size and specifications.
• Develop detailed project layouts like, SLD, Array Layout, Equipment Layout, etc.
• Utilize specialized software tools for designing PV systems like autocad, Pvsyst, Sketchup, staad pro, etc.
• Design comprehensive protection and monitoring systems, including sensor selection and SCADA system integration.
• Preparation of Bill of materials.

Project Execution and Quality Assurance:

• Oversee project execution to ensure zero-error implementation.
• Conduct rigorous quality assessments and maintenance activities at project sites.
• Adhere to industry standards and best practices.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Possess a strong understanding of solar industry regulations and documentation.
• Assist in obtaining necessary permissions and approvals, such as net metering, CEIG, NOCs applications.

Reporting and Communication:

• Provide daily project status reports to the reporting manager.
• Maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders.

Fieldwork:

• Be prepared for some field visits to project sites.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in solar power plant design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV system design principles and standards.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for solar design.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality mindset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel to project sites as needed.
