Job Description
- The Oracle Financials Functional Consultant plays a critical role in implementing and optimizing Oracle Financials solutions, both in the Cloud and E-Business Suite (EBS) environments
- This position involves understanding business processes, gathering requirements, configuring the Oracle Financials modules, and providing expert guidance to ensure successful system implementation and integration
- The consultant collaborates with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business objectives
- Responsibilities:Requirements Gathering and Analysis:Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document functional requirements related to financial processes, reporting, and analysis
- Analyze business needs and recommend Oracle Financials modules and configurations that best suit the organization's requirements
- System Configuration and Customization:Configure Oracle Financials modules based on documented requirements, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement customizations and extensions when necessary
- Implementation and Testing:Lead the implementation of Oracle Financials solutions, including data migration and system integration
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate system functionality and data accuracy
- User Training and Support:Provide end-users with training and guidance on how to effectively use Oracle Financials modules
- Address user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely support to ensure smooth system operation
- Documentation and Reporting:Create and maintain functional specifications, system documentation, and user guides
- Generate regular reports on project progress, issues, and solutions for project stakeholders
- Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization within Oracle Financials
- Stay informed about Oracle updates, patches, and enhancements, and assess their relevance to the organization's needs
- Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Communicate project status, challenges, and recommendations to project leadership and management
- Compliance and Security:Ensure adherence to security protocols, data privacy regulations, and compliance requirements
