Door Access Controller

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Door Access Controller to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and configuration of access control systems, including drilling, wiring, cabling, magnet installation, and configuration. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with security systems and demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation & Setup:
• Install door access control systems including readers, keypads, magnetic locks, and other related components.
• Perform drilling and wall mounting for hardware installation at designated access points.
• Route and secure necessary wiring and cabling to connect access control components.
2. Magnetic Lock Installation:
• Install and configure magnetic locks and related hardware for proper functionality.
• Ensure alignment and testing of all components for secure locking mechanisms.
3. Wiring & Cabling:
• Run and secure cables between access control systems, power supplies, and security panels.
• Ensure wiring is done in compliance with safety standards and local regulations.
4. System Configuration:
• Configure and integrate access control systems into the existing security infrastructure.
• Program access control software, including user permissions, time schedules, and system diagnostics.
• Test and troubleshoot system functionality and provide troubleshooting support as needed.
5. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for installed access control systems.
• Perform system diagnostics and resolve issues promptly to ensure continuous operation.
6. Collaboration & Reporting:
• Work closely with security and IT teams to ensure seamless operation and integration of access systems.
• Provide detailed reports on installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
7. Compliance & Safety:
• Follow safety protocols during installations, wiring, and system configurations.
• Ensure all installations meet industry standards and security compliance requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of door access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, cabling, and magnet lock systems.
• Familiarity with access control software and hardware configurations.
• Hands-on experience with tools required for drilling, installation, and wiring.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot system issues.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and team members.
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols and electrical regulations.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in electrical work or security systems are a plus.
• Previous experience in a similar role or with access control systems is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed.
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel to various work sites.
• Availability for occasional on-call support.
