Supply Chain Head

Role & responsibilities :-

Procurement & Vendor Management:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies to source electrical components, transformers, cables, switchgear, and other utility-related materials.
• Identify, negotiate, and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
• Manage supplier contracts, SLAs, and performance evaluation.

2. Inventory & Logistics Management:

• Monitor and optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
• Oversee warehouse operations and material handling processes.
• Implement efficient logistics and distribution strategies for timely material availability.
• Coordinate with transport providers for smooth delivery of goods and equipment.

3. Supply Chain Optimization & Cost Control:

• Develop and implement supply chain optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Identify process improvement opportunities using data analytics and industry best practices.
• Implement cost-control measures while ensuring uninterrupted operations.

4. Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental policies, and safety standards.
• Assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Manage import/export processes, customs clearance, and documentation.

5. Cross-functional Coordination:

• Collaborate with engineering, projects, operations, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
• Work closely with regulatory authorities and government agencies for approvals and clearances.

6. Technology & Process Improvement:

• Implement ERP and digital tools for real-time supply chain tracking and management.
• Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives in supply chain processes.
• Stay updated with emerging supply chain technologies and trends.

Preferred candidate profile :-

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics in the electrical utilities or power sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical equipment, materials, and supply chain regulations.
• Experience in ERP systems, demand forecasting, and supply chain analytics.
