Job Description: Sr. Executive/Assistant Manager Procurement
Role Overview:
The Sr. Executive/Assistant Manager - Procurement will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Planning & Strategy:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
2. Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors based on quality, reliability, and pricing.
Maintain and nurture relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration.
Monitor vendor performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
3. Sourcing & Negotiation:
Source goods and services as per organizational requirements.
Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost optimization without compromising quality.
Manage contract agreements, including terms, payment schedules, and service levels.
4. Procurement Operations:
Raise purchase orders and track their status to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and plan procurement accordingly to avoid shortages.
Coordinate with internal departments to understand and fulfill their procurement needs.
5. Cost & Budget Management:
Ensure procurement activities remain within the allocated budget.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance value in procurement processes.
6. Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards.
Prepare and present regular procurement reports and metrics to management.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA/PGDM is preferred.
Experience: 5–8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or similar industries

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and market analysis.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
