Branch Credit Manager - Vehicle Loans

The Branch Credit Manager for Vehicle Products is responsible for overseeing all credit-related activities for vehicle financing within the branch. This role ensures the branch meets its targets for vehicle loan disbursement while managing the associated risks. The manager will evaluate and approve credit applications, maintain credit policies, and ensure compliance with internal guidelines, as well as industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Credit Evaluation & Approval:
   
• Review and assess credit applications for vehicle loans, ensuring they meet the companys credit policy and risk guidelines.
• Approve or decline credit applications based on financial analysis, customer profile, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure a smooth loan process and resolve any issues that may arise during loan approval or disbursement.
2. Risk Management:
   
• Monitor and manage the branch's vehicle loan portfolio, ensuring that the quality of credit and collections remains within acceptable limits.
• Conduct regular assessments of existing customer creditworthiness and make necessary adjustments to credit limits or terms.
• Identify potential credit risks and implement corrective actions to mitigate losses.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
   
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure a smooth loan process.
• Address customer queries regarding loan products, credit approval, and repayment terms.
4. Compliance & Reporting:
   
• Ensure that all credit transactions comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of credit transactions and prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance, loan disbursements, collections, and write-offs.
5. Team Leadership & Training:
   
• Lead and mentor the branch credit team to ensure efficient loan processing and adherence to policies.
• Train and develop staff on credit policies, procedures, and customer service best practices.
6. Collaboration with Other Departments:
   
• Work closely with the sales, collections, and legal teams to resolve complex issues and facilitate seamless operations.
• Collaborate with regional credit and risk management teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in credit management, preferably within the vehicle financing or automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of credit assessment methods, financial analysis, and risk management.
• In-depth understanding of vehicle loan products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a high-pressure, target-driven environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
