Kodo Technologies - Backend Engineer - Java/Spring Boot (2-6 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs using Spring Boot and Java frameworks.

- Implement clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.

- Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability (using frameworks like JUnit, Mockito etc.

- Work closely with front-end developers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration.

- Design and implement database models and data access layers using Spring Data JPA or similar technologies.

- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and manage backend applications in production.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

Qualifications :

- 2-6 years of experience as a Backend Engineer in a product-based company (Experience in a service-based company can also be considered for strong candidates).

- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.

- Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito etc.) and best practices for writing clean and maintainable tests.

- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data access layers (Spring Data JPA etc.) is a plus.

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bonus Points :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines

- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
