We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced GeM Bid Specialist to join our newly formed division focused on securing government contracts through the Government eMarketplace (GeM) portal. This role is responsible for the entire bid lifecycle, from initial profile setup to bid submission and post-award management. You will also play a key role in establishing efficient billing and payment collection processes within the GeM platform.
Responsibilities:
Set up and maintain a comprehensive company profile on the GeM portal, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Proactively identify and research relevant bid opportunities aligned with the companys capabilities.
Analyse bid documents, including technical specifications, eligibility criteria, and evaluation methodologies.
Prepare high-quality bid proposals, adhering to all GeM guidelines and deadlines.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary technical and commercial information for bid submissions.
Manage and submit all required bid documents electronically through the GeM portal.
Track bid progress and respond to clarifications or queries from government agencies.
Assist in the post-award management process, including contract negotiation and order fulfilment.
Work with the finance team to establish efficient billing and payment collection procedures within the GeM platform.
Stay updated on GeM policies, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in government procurement or bidding processes.
Proven experience working with online procurement platforms, specifically the GeM portal (highly preferred).
Excellent understanding of GeM guidelines, bidding procedures, and evaluation methodologies.
Strong analytical and research skills to identify and evaluate bid opportunities.
Ability to prepare clear, concise, and compelling bid proposals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in using computer applications like MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Additional Skills (desirable):
Experience working in Staffing Agencies or Security Services
Knowledge of government procurement regulations.
