We are looking for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to design, implement, and oversee targeted learning programs that drive the growth and success of our engineering and product teams. This role requires a deep understanding of technical skills, product life cycles, and strategic business goals, as well as a passion for empowering teams through innovative training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Needs Assessment & Skill Gap Analysis:
- Conduct regular assessments to identify skill gaps within engineering and product teams.
- Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to determine training priorities across technical knowledge, product development processes, and leadership capabilities.
Curriculum Design & Development:
- Create customized training programs tailored to the unique needs of technical and product teams, covering areas such as software development, agile methodologies, product management, and innovation.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with business goals.
Learning Program Delivery:
- Facilitate the rollout of technical training sessions, product workshops, and onboarding programs for engineers and product managers.
- Oversee the delivery of instructor-led, online, and on-the-job training to ensure high engagement and knowledge retention.
Performance Measurement & Feedback:
- Define success metrics and KPIs for learning initiatives, focusing on improvements in product development cycles, code quality, and team collaboration.
- Regularly gather feedback and assess the effectiveness of programs to ensure continuous improvement.
Learning Technology & Innovation:
- Leverage cutting-edge learning technologies (e.g., LMS, coding platforms, collaborative tools) to enhance training efficiency and engagement.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in engineering, product management, and learning techniques to keep programs innovative and relevant.
Leadership Development:
- Design and deliver leadership programs for emerging engineering and product leaders, equipping them with the skills to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple learning projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery, alignment with strategic goals, and adherence to scope.
- Use data and analytics to measure program effectiveness and make informed decisions.
Budgeting & Resource Management:
- Oversee the L&D budget for engineering and product teams, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Build strong partnerships with engineering managers, product leaders, and other stakeholders to align learning programs with business needs, product launches, and technical innovation.
- Act as the key liaison between L&D, engineering, and product teams to support team performance and growth.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in talent development, training design, organizational development, and leadership development.
- Strong understanding of engineering and product management processes, with the ability to translate complex topics into accessible learning content.
- Proven expertise in assessing skill gaps, designing learning programs, and evaluating their impact.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, modern training methods, and best practices in instructional design.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver high-quality results.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decision-making and measure program effectiveness.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with technical teams and cross-functional leaders.
- Familiarity with both traditional and modern learning tools (e.g., mentoring, e-learning, workshops, simulations).
