Job Description

Role:

To lead the organisation for digital transformation with the responsibility of evaluating, selecting and implementing the right digital tools in the areas of F&A, SCM, HR & Admin, Project management, DMS with integration and drive the organisation with cultural shift towards innovation, efficiency and data driven decision making.

The role requires a mix of strategic planning, technical knowledge, stakeholder management and risk mitigation while ensuring the companys growth, operational excellence and competitive advantage.

Responsibilities:

Lead Digital Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital transformation strategy for the organization as per its needs.
  • Develop and manage detailed digitization plans, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful digital transformation.
  • Identify key opportunities for automation and digital solutions to optimize construction processes.
  • Experience in evaluating and selection of various digitization software for a construction organization.

Technology Integration:

  • Oversee the deployment of digital tools like ERP platforms, accounting software, material take-off software, and project management software.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to digitize manual processes and improve data collection, tracking, and reporting across the functions.

Process Optimization:

  • Streamline operations through digitalization, ensuring all teams are using the latest software solutions for accounting, project management, bid management, SCM, HR and communication.
  • Lead the implementation of automation solutions for quality control, safety management, and operational monitoring.
  • Drive the adoption of robotics, drones, AI, and machine learning technologies to enhance construction site productivity.

Collaboration & Training:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including F&A team, HR & Admin, project managers, engineers, and IT teams, to ensure effective adoption of digital tools and techniques.
  • Provide training and support to ensure smooth digital adoption.
  • Liaise with external vendors, consultants, and technology providers to source innovative solutions.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and successes to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Data Management:

  • Implement data analytics and reporting tools for improved decision-making and tracking of project milestones.

Project Lifecycle Monitoring:

  • Use digital tools to improve visibility across the project lifecycle, from planning and design through construction and maintenance, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Oversee compliance with data security, privacy laws, and relevant construction regulations when adopting digital solutions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously monitor and identify areas for improvement, ensuring the company stays at the forefront of technology in the construction industry.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and change management, ensuring team buy-in for new technologies and processes.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience out of which 10 years in a digital transformation or technology implementation role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proven expertise in evaluating & deploying digital tools such as ERP platforms, project management software, and project collaboration tools.
  • Strong understanding of Accounting, Construction project management, SCM processes and workflows.
  • Experience in managing centralized teams and remote project coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for process optimization.

Desired Competencies:

  • Experience with construction-specific software platforms.
  • Strong background in process automation and integrating software solutions for construction projects.
  • Ability to create clear documentation and provide training for end-users.
  • Experience with managing change and digital adoption across large teams.
