Team name: Merchandise Supply Chain
Merchandise Supply Chain provides capability of IT product development for Sourcing, Merchandizing, and Inventory functions of the Kmart Groups Retail business. The team generates insights that enables business teams to make critical decisions.
Primary Purpose of the role
The Kmart Group are embarking on a program of work to implement a new WMS (Warehouse Management System) as part of investment into and uplift of its supply chain capability. Within this program there is a stream of work focused on integrating the new WMS to a suite of upstream and downstream systems. This role will contribute directly to the realization of a Supply Chain Integration and Service Layer.
Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional or technical discipline or specialty but may manage two or fewer employees. May direct the work of other lower-level professionals or manage processes and programs. Most of the time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialised knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education
Years of Experience - 5 to 7 years
Technical Skills
Demonstrated proficiency in more than one programming language including testing security validation (focus on Java)
Ability to automate the delivery of cloud infrastructure and applications using a variety of languages
Experienced with AWS(or GCP/Azure) and related Cloud technology
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Java with Spring Boot and Docker.
Experience of working with event driven architecture using Kafka
Hands on experience with Gradle, GitHub actions and Terraform will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated use of Agile delivery principles and associated tools (e.g. Jira)

Demonstrated experience in Agile development environments using SCRUM and/or KANBAN delivery techniques
Experience working in retail, manufacturing or logistics verticals
