Job Title: Head of IT Infrastructure

Job Summary:
The Head/VP of IT Infrastructure provides strategic leadership and direction for the organization's IT infrastructure operations, ensuring that systems, networks, and platforms align with business objectives. This senior role involves planning, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT solutions to support enterprise growth, innovation, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and execute the organizations IT infrastructure strategy, aligned with overall business goals.
• Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.
2. Infrastructure Oversight:
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, including data centers, cloud platforms, servers, and network systems.
• Ensure 24/7 availability, scalability, and security of IT systems and infrastructure.
3. Cloud and Digital Transformation:
• Lead cloud migration initiatives and hybrid infrastructure projects.
• Drive the adoption of automation, AI, and machine learning for infrastructure optimization.
4. Cybersecurity and Compliance:
• Establish robust security frameworks to protect IT systems against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) and corporate governance policies.
5. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
• Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Conduct regular testing and updates to minimize downtime during disruptions.
6. Vendor and Budget Management:
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to SLAs.
• Develop and oversee the IT infrastructure budget, balancing cost control with strategic investments.
7. Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and mentor a high-performing IT infrastructure team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide training opportunities, and manage talent development.
8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Monitor key infrastructure performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide regular updates to the C-suite and board on IT infrastructure performance and strategic initiatives.

Key Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure roles, including 5+ years in a leadership position.
• Certifications: Preferred certifications include ITIL, TOGAF, PMP, CISSP, or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in enterprise-level IT systems, cloud platforms, virtualization, and network architecture.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity protocols and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and DevOps tools.

Leadership and Soft Skills:

• Visionary thinker with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and large teams in dynamic environments.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Infrastructure uptime and reliability metrics.
• Cybersecurity incident response time and mitigation effectiveness.
• Cost efficiency and ROI on IT infrastructure investments.
• Employee satisfaction and retention within the IT infrastructure team.

Work Environment:
This is a senior leadership role, requiring collaboration with C-suite executives, cross-functional teams, and external vendors. The position may involve occasional travel and extended hours during critical projects or system upgrades.Role & responsibilities
