Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement: Developing and executing a strategic procurement plan to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for the organisation.
Vendor Management: Identifying, evaluating, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating favourable terms and contracts to optimise procurement processes.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and compliance of procured goods and services with established standards and specifications.
Budget Management: Managing and controlling the procurement budget, tracking expenses, and preparing financial reports.
Team Leadership: Leading and managing the procurement team, setting goals, and providing guidance and mentorship.
Market Analysis: Keeping up with the market trends, pricing, and emerging suppliers to make informed purchasing decisions.
Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience
3 or more years of experience in procurement or a related position
Proficiency in procurement practices, contract negotiation, and specification drafting
Familiarity with purchasing and inventory management software
Exceptional organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
