International & domestic freight negotiations

Role & responsibilities

1. Strong knowledge of domestic, international and third country freight procurement of Air, Sea, Road, multimodal across.

2. Strong connects with industry, Airline, shipping company, Freight forwarder, cold chain service provider, transporter (Truck/Bus).

3. Preparing an RFQ and submitting it to the appropriate vendor, gathering trending freight rates, and conducting negotiations via Ariba or offline.

4. Preparing Rate contract and processing of vendor bill as per negotiation.

5. Coordinate and manage all aspects of the pharmaceutical Export/Import shipment process, including booking and documentation.

6. Communicate effectively with internal customer, suppliers, and carriers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.

7. Arrange transportation and logistics services, such as trucking, shipping, and air freight, to meet the specific needs of each shipment.

8. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.

9. Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively resolve any issues or delays that may arise.

10. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing any inquiries or concerns from internal Customers and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

11. Optimize shipping routes and methods to minimize costs and improve efficiency.

12. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the freight forwarding process.

13. Collaborate with other members of the logistics team to streamline operations and improve overall supply chain performance.

Required Qualifications

1. A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
2. Previous experience in Pharma, freight forwarding or logistics is highly desirable.
3. Knowledge of international shipping documentation.
4. Familiarity with Air/shipping regulations and compliance requirements.
5. Proficiency in computer systems and software used in logistics operations.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
8. Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and work with tight deadlines.
9. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
10. Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
